Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name for Winona Laura Hoowitz. She was birthed within Winona Minnesota. The name of her parents was derived from the town she grew up in. Both her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's dad came from the Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Her half-siblings are younger, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder was born in the United States and moved with her family members to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. There was no electricity. Ryder read a lot due to the lack of television. Ryder began taking acting classes when Ryder was 12, in the American Conservatory Theatre. In the year she turned fifteen, she landed her first part on the screen in Lucas. Ryder faced bullying in high school. Ryder believed that if she became an actor her behaviour would be changed. However, the plan didn't pan out. She continued to pursue her dreams. In 1988, she got her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was a star in numerous films. In 1993, she was nominated twice for Academy Awards. One of was for her performance as a character in The Age of Innocence.
